ABOUT THE AUTHOR
L. Vogel is a Brazilian author who discovered late in life that writing was not a hobby — it was a cognitive necessity.
With a degree in fashion, more than a decade of experience as a public servant, and a mind that never asked permission to operate the way it does, she made her fiction debut in 2026 with Love Doesn't Ask Permission — a romance novel born from the need to give existence to a dress that lived in her head, but which, due to aphantasia, she could never actually visualize.
She writes without mental imagery and without an internal monologue, in the absolute silence of a mind that feels everything with precision. Perhaps that is precisely why her stories allow others to see and hear so clearly.
She has a penchant for complex characters, narrative structures that challenge the reader, and romances that make no apologies for what they are. She believes that an inverted age gap and a Brazil-Korea blend are choices as valid as any other — and anyone who disagrees is welcome to write their own book.
Vogel, in German, means bird.
She is still learning how to fly — but her books have already taken off.
